Our Facility 

The Laurel Community Center Organization Inc. is a 5.5-acre campus nestled along a stretch of the pristine Shelton Laurel Creek in White Rock, North Carolina. LCC consists of approximately 30,000 square feet of ADA-compliant buildings including a 7,000 square foot multi-purpose gym, 7 studio spaces that are leased to artists and entrepreneurs, a kitchen and cafeteria which are home of the Shelton Laurel Meal Site, a Welcome Center in our office complex, a computer lab, Multi-purpose Room, free Internet room assessable 7 AM - 7 PM daily, a creek side Ecology STEM classroom called the Laurel River Room and the former Ag. Building is currently leased to Studio Galas. We also house French Broad Electric Membership Corporation's fiber-optic hub that serves the whole Laurel area with affordable Internet. Our outdoor campus includes a playground, fitness trail, 2 creek access points (anglers welcome), colorful educational signs, a baseball field (to be restored in 2024), and a pavilion with picnic tables and a charcoal grill. We are a part of the Blue Ridge Snorkel Trail, Blue Ridge Music Trail and an ecoEXPLORE site. We are a "hot" campus with WIFI available both indoors and outdoors. 

We'd love yo have you utilize our campus! Our outdoor facilities are accessible daily, daylight to dusk. We offer short term rental for Birthday parties, meetings', workshops, and more! Please send us a message to learn more!

Dog Policy 

1) Dogs at LCC must be attended by and under control of their responsible owners at all times, whether loose or leashed. 

2) No dogs can come into the cafeteria/kitchen. It is a health code violation. 

3) All dog "bathroom accidents" must be bagged or cleaned up by owners, immediately.

4) No dogs allowed at LCC events, except leashed dogs are allowed at once-a-month Laurel Community Markets.
