Laurel River Watershed Project 2021
When the Laurel Community Center began focusing efforts on ecology and the creation of the Laurel River Room, a student intern was hired to do a study on the Laurel River Watershed. Caitlin Shelton was a rising senor at East Tennessee State University and was born and raised in Shelton Laurel making this project a little more personal than it would have to some. Caitlin did a great job conducting this study of the Laurel River Watershed. In the presentation below you will find out what makes the Laurel River so healthy and the many ways that having a health watershed can be beneficial to your community.
We hope you enjoy the presentation below made possible by the Pigeon River Fund.
